I fell in love with photography six years ago…

I was sitting in my bedroom at my parents’ house, staring at a Nikon D3500 on my computer screen. It felt perfect — and for the first time, I finally had $500 saved to make it mine.

​

I was 15 years old when I bought that camera, and honestly, my life hasn’t been the same since.

​

I became obsessed with finding beauty where most people wouldn’t look — graffiti on dumpsters, smoke drifting from factories, ugly moments that felt overlooked. Photography quickly became more than a hobby; it became how I saw the world.

​

One year later, I photographed my first client: my best friend. I was incredibly nervous. I wasn’t even a senior yet, and somehow I was responsible for someone else’s senior photos. I spent hours stressing over locations, outfits, and lighting before finally meeting her in Denver. I charged $25 for a 3.5-hour shoot… yikes!

​

When I got home, I put my SD card into my old MacBook and started scrolling through the photos, fully expecting them to be terrible. But to my surprise, I loved them! For the first time, I saw my own creative vision come to life. I fell in love not only with photography, but with the entire process — shooting, editing, and creating something meaningful from start to finish. All I wanted to do was go out and do it again.

Over the next four years, my photography slowly began to grow. More clients trusted me with their memories each year, and with every session my style, confidence, and creativity strengthened.

​

Five years, three cameras, and countless photoshoots later, it’s 2025 — and my childhood dream has become real. Red Sun Studio is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
